ABOUT

The Cedar Valley Paddlers were initiated by Pam Wolter in June of 2006 after her paddling friend received second degree burns on her hand and was unable to paddle. There were 8 attendees at the first meeting held in the back room of Crawdaddy Outdoors, and around 12 members the first year. It has grown to over 40 members by 2017.

The club provides recreational opportunities to adults 18 years or older with over 17 paddle  events per year. CVP paddles Northeastern Iowa rivers, southern Minnesota and have a large paddling trip every other year. Belize is planned for 2017. CVP encourages enjoying and conserving our natural resources and participate in informal turtle and mussel survey's on select trips.
